Standard returns

Unused NetAPI optical transceivers in their original anti-static packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the product price. Return shipping is included for orders shipped within the United States; international customers are responsible for return shipping unless the return is the result of a NetAPI error.

3-year advance-replacement warranty

NetAPI optics carry a 3-year advance-replacement warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions. If a module fails during the warranty period, we ship a replacement before the failed unit is returned. The warranty covers dead-on-arrival (DOA) units, optical performance failures, DDM drift outside MSA-defined alarm thresholds, and physical failure under normal handling.

The warranty does not cover: physical damage from mishandling; damage from out-of-spec optical input; damage from operation outside the rated temperature range; or modules with tampered or removed serial-number labels.

Free Vendor & Compatibility Exchange Program

Customers who purchased optics directly from NetAPI or an authorized reseller may exchange a module for a different vendor coding, fiber reach, or connector type at no charge under the program described at www.netapi.io/about#exchange-program. Eligibility and process are documented on that page.

How to start a return, warranty claim, or exchange

  1. Sign in to your NetAPI customer account at account.netapi.io.
  2. Open the order containing the module.
  3. Click Request return or exchange on the line items you want to send back.
  4. For warranty claims and exchanges, briefly describe the issue or the new switch, reach, or connector you need. Our team will respond within one business hour during 7 a.m.–7 p.m. ET.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of NetAPI receiving the returned module.
